gentlemen's club was initially formed late 2008 by founding members Mufaro Nesongano and Cj (Clarence Jerome Eiseb), but it became active in January 2009, with the launching of its Merchandise (T-shirt and Tops).  

The name gentlemen’s club was chosen to represent the true essence of a Men, especially in times that the country was faced with high rates of Men abusing Women, therefore the founders made it a point to stress the importance of Men’s social etiquette towards Women, however, the name does not distance itself from Women, as Women are also on board gentlemen’s club in all essence. The founders have made it a priority to get Men to referrer to treat Women in a respective and responsible manner.
